GP to EP conversions

Ok I'm being a tard.

Direct conversion (i.e. Hika's method) works fine.

My original gripe with it was that it wouldn't work with my characters since they'd be entering as Saiko-komon (2nd in command; 2100 GP bonus) with the bonus GP from being an Oyabun (3000). I was just nerfing myself for no reason because I was kinda traumatized as a young roleplayer as being called a "power-gamer"/min-maxer/twink who didn't care about story or characterization...

But the solution is simple: your not allowed to gain any extra GP from "Rank-Ups" that go beyond your Bleach Gotei rank. Duhr.

Yeah the way I see it either option is fine. One is simpler, the other is a little more precise. As determined with Yoshikazu, the final results are pretty close if you have the same rank as before.

Yeah the problem is if your rank changes like with my character...but its weird since I still did work up to Oyabun rank in the old site (i.e. collabing with my former Oyabun and writing up my rank-up RP) so its not like the points are materializing out of the Aether.

Can anyone explain Hika's method so I don't have to spend 30 minutes looking through AIM logs? I like to have it in a post somewhere so I can help people...including myself XD

As far as I am aware, it is as follows:

Take your BG stats as they are.

Calculate your current total EP based on those stats. Ignore your given Bleach Exile rank in terms of EP completely

Done.

I'll note that for Ryder I intend to use the direct GP to EP conversion you posted on top (taking away the rank bonus, divide the rest by 5, add Exile's rank bonus, and distribute) but that's partly because she has so much unspent GP.

Ah ok; so you have to calculate points using these charts, albeit backwards:


001-100 Stat Points | 1 EP for 1 Stat Point
101-200 Stat Points | 2 EP for 1 Stat Point
201-300 Stat points | 3 EP for 1 Stat Point
301-400 Stat points | 5 EP for 1 Stat Point

Zanjuts: Advanced | 100 EP
Reiatsu Perception: Intermediate | 50 EP
Hakuda: Master | 200 EP
Zanpakuto Resonance: Basic | 20 EP
Kido (Bakuto|Hado): Beginner | 10 EP

So Kiriko had 250 Reiatsu. 450 points for reiatsu and 350 for her skills. 800 points. (I rounded)
