Kidou List

This is the site Kaga and I were admins of for a long time and I think it might be worthwhile looking into sniping this list. Kaga and I can give all the approval needed; I even have the person who was admin before us living with me as a roommate so I know he wouldn't care if we take it. We'd have to modify the existing costs to work with our site but that wouldn't take longer than an hour or two.

If anything, there's some good ideas there.

Do we even have finalized rules for how many Kidou Shinigami know and how learning additional kidou works?

Last time I checked that page there were contradictory rules lol.

Whatever rule we decide I am 100% against Shinigami knowing every kidou even Masters. Just making it clear here.

I also don't see anyone except the Kido Crops Commander knowing every Kido (It seems to me that would be a requirement.). Anyways I prefer the other sites Kido list, it was easy and simple. Also I would suggest 5 Kido per rank, we could make Kido similar to what I will add to items later as an idea. You have your own personal Kido list and you can purchase Kido spells for X EP, that way it costs you.

I don't even see the Kidou Commander as being allowed to know each and every kidou spell. It would give said character a ridiculous edge in combat. I'd rather treat them as techniques and items. Allow 3-5 per rank with a 90% focus on the kidou you are specializing in and I think the KC should get some kind of extra kidou bonus as well.... however I am against the KC knowing every single little kidou. That is all kinds of bogus and overpowered.

Ok that wasn't worded well, what I meant was that to possibly qualify for Kido Commander, you need to put enough EP in to have all the Kido. So essentially a good chunk of your power goes to that, not that they get it all for free.

That seems rather excessive Kenshou. The system should be arranged in such a way that trying to know all the Kidou would be impractical and characters are better off choosing a theme/style for their character, rather than trying to catch 'em all.

Here's the thing that if someone wants to make themselves a Kido master they can, it will just cost them a lot and make their other side of life not nearly as great. Hence others may focus on techs, items, or whatever. The point is it gives the option for those who are Kido fan boys, this coming from the guy who wants nothing to do with Kido!

Well yeah nothing is stopping them from doing that. However ultimately it leaves them more limited than someone who invested in only a handful of good Kidou and an equal number of techniques and items. That is what Yoshino was saying.
