What's everyone after?

I understand that many of us (myself included) still don't have our applications finished, but regardless, what kind of threads, plots, character studies, genre riffs is everyone looking for or hoping to create?

I ask mostly in the interest of finding potential threads to join, but it would also be neat to see just where this site is leaning style-wise.

I'm not really sure how to explain what I'm after, because it will vary by character. Whatever the character though, I'm looking for a deep roleplay experience, supplemented by a little true, serious conflict (including very lethal combat and the very real threat of death, and in the case of characters who would kill, a few kills under their belts by the time their stories come to a close.)

Personally: Fighting NPCs alongside other PCs while unravelling mysteries and exploring the psychological development of my characters alongside others.

Kionchi: Supernatural Action/Shounen (lots of conspiracy; intrigue; more investigation than fights)
The Twins: Supernatural Slice-of-Life with heavier Comedy and occasional Action

Comparable Shows: Natsume Yuujinchou, Wagaya no Oinari-Sama

What my Characters are Looking for:

Kionchi: Refuge from Inari, Vengeance against the Kolat, Forgiveness from Nanake Nanami, Allies, Friends and understanding what its like to be free
The Twins: Friends, relatives, the secret of the Library of Babel, making the decision between staying in the human and spiritual world.
Akasha (NPC): Discovering whether or not fate exists

[Izumi Tenshi]

Honestly I'm just RPing so I can have fun with my friends. Izumi in particular is more inclined for social threads even though she is one of the most powerful characters on the site. With Ren I have a romantic situations I can RP and with Izumi's daughters there's wacky family hijinx to be had. Not to mention Ren owns a Detective Agency which Izumi works for so there's plenty of fun mystery scenarios she can be a part of. Also there's the issue of Izumi's relationship with Amaterasu and Ren's curse plus getting Izumi and Ren's eldest daughter to pick up the family name again. So yeah even without combat threads I have plenty of stuff to do.
