Alright, so I've made a few changes to Yuuko's app (such as changing the Face Claim) that I'd like approved and edited into the app. New Additions are in Bold, revisions to existing material are in Italics.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Name: Yuuko Megumi
Age: 36, but looks 28
Gender: Female
Height & Weight: Yuuko is approximately 145 lbs and is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall.
Eye & Hair Color: Yuuko has bright red hair reaching down to her shoulders that is wound up in a loose ponytail in the back. Yuuko’s eyes are a dark blue-green color.
Appearance: Yuuko is very tall for a Japanese woman, standing just above 5' 9” tall, a fact that gives her a great sense of pride. Yuuko is far from weak, having trained her physical body to it limits nearly every day, which has caused her slim, tube like arms and legs to become incredibly well toned, to point that they are capable of feats well beyond normal human levels. This near muscularity, combined with her hourglass figure, quick mind, and unpredictable fighting style, allows her to move both swiftly and confidently though almost any combat situation. Because of her very poor social skills, Yuuko is very easily embarrassed, becoming incredibly flustered at even the most minor of compliments, making it very difficult for her to have anything other than scowl on her face at any given time, for fear of becoming embarrassed.
Yuuko's hair is perhaps favorite part of her body. Despite the fact that she rarely does more than brush it once every few days, Yuuko is quite fond of her hair, which almost always seems to be in near perfect condition, regardless of what sort of situation she is in. However, there is ONE tiny flaw that keeps Yuuko from loving her hair more than anything else in the world and that is the fact that it will not fully part the way she wants it to. No matter how hard she tries, Yuuko just cannot seem to get it to fully part to the right of her face. There is always at least a small portion of her hair that will fail to cooperate with her, always falling down to frame her face with the hair on her left side.
Yuuko’s eyebrows are, of course, the same shade as her hair, red. They are fairly average in both thickness and length, and the only thing interesting about them is that they arch over her eyes at sharp angles, giving her face a more severe look than it would have had without it. Her face, as one would expect, shaped like an upside down teardrop, which would normally give her a very soft look, but with Yuuko it only makes her look that much sterner. Her eyes are a very bright-green colour, and they shaped normally, and overall are fairly simple in appearance. The rest of Yuuko’s body can only be described as “Tanned”. Her skin is completely tanned all across her entire body, despite the fact that Yuuko doesn’t tan at all.
Yuuko is very picky about what she wears, usually choosing clothes that allow her greater mobility while in combat, while also giving her a more official looking appearance (something she needs simply because of the fact that she is a woman in a predominantly male career path). However, just because Yuuko tries to look formal doesn’t mean that it isn’t beneath her to use her “natural given assets” to get what she needs, in fact, Yuuko has even gone as far as to purchase a custom police uniform that calls attention to her rather attractive figure. The uniform consists of several layers, the first of which is a single piece body suit, black in color, which clings to her body like a second skin. The second layer consists of a pair of knee length boots, also black in color, and a black bulletproof vest cut into the shape of a bodice, with the top of a collared shirt sewn into the top of the bodice. The shirt has a rather large collar, which is almost completely folded over, covering her Mekkayu’s golden chain, but keeping the actual Mekkayu itself exposed.
The Final layer of Yuuko’s outfit consists of a simple black coat, which reaches down to around 4 or 5 inches above her ankles. Its sleeves are actually a bit too long for Yuuko’s arms, so she folded up the edges so that they don’t cover her hands. The coat also has a fairly standard hood in the back, as well as two pockets, one on the left side, and on one on the right. It should also be noted that, when the weather requires it, Yuuko will wear a white fur coat over her normal outfit, which is almost exactly like her normal coat, except for the fact that it has no hood.

Additional information:
Mekkyaku: Yuuko’s Mekkayu is called ”Enkou Suzaku”,which roughly translates to “Vermillion Bird’s Flames”. The Mekkayu once belonged to Yuuko’s mother, and Yuuko usually wears around her neck, but keeps it covered underneath the collar of her Uniform, in order to keep her identity hidden from anyone that might wish to cause her harm. Yuuko’s Mekkayu is shaped like the Chinese Vermilion Bird Zhū Què, and pictures the bird reaching through a wall of flames towards a shimmering, egg shaped ruby. Hanging from the Mekkayu’s tail are three teardrop shaped Rubies, each one representing both a hardship Yuuko has endured, and a trial that Yuuko has yet to overcome. Yuuko’s Mekkayu also has a small quick release clasp where it is attached to the chain, allowing Yuuko to have easy access to her Bow while still keeping it relatively well hidden.
Quincy Bow: ] The Bow of Suzaku, when manifested, forms from the user's right arm, replacing the forearm and hand with a powerful bow in the form of the great Bird of the Southern Flame. Blessed with the flames of Summer, Suzaku is a force to be reckoned with, single-handedly firing searing white-hot bolts of Reishi without the need of a draw. The Bow of Suzaku takes the form of a solid weapon shaped like the Phoenix itself, capable of harnessing the full power of the divine fires that churn within. The shape of the weapon lends itself equally well to firing Reishi bolts, as to punching faces with the beak, or defending with the wings.
Mekkyaku Ability: The bow of Suzaku's power lies in the great Summer Flame that roars within. As a result, it is capable of shooting the arrows it manifests without the use of a draw, employing only the internal explosions much like a gun. Many of the techniques one could learn with this weapon require a draw; however, harnessing the full power within and adding the users own strength requires more than just pulling back the bowstring.
Background: The story of Yuuko Megumi’s birth, life, and eventual spiritual realization is one of intrigue, mystery, and at times, downright ridiculous circumstances, but if one wishes to understand the reasons behind Yuuko’s motives, then they have to hear the whole story, from the beginning. Yuuko’s story begins, as do most stories, with a birth. However, this birth is not Yuuko’s birth, no; the child that is born first in this story is in fact Yuuko’s Grandmother, Fíona Hughes. Fíona was born the bastard child of a man named Blake Hughes, a mobster of the highest Caliber, he was too high up in the ranks of the mob to take care of a bastard, so he left Fíona to her mother, a prostitute who was just a simple call girl that got knocked up at the wrong time by the wrong man.
Fíona’s mother carried her for the nine months until she was born, and then promptly dumped the poor girl on the doorstep of the nearest Orphanage. After all, a baby was bad for business, no matter how much money she made off of her clients. And so Fíona was left to be raised in a shabby Orphanage with upwards of a dozen other children, and for the first four years of her life, things were bad. And then the War broke out. At first, the news of a war that spanned the globe mattered little to Fíona, after all, why worry about some god forsaken battlefield when she barely got enough to eat every week? But then, as the weeks dragged on, and the war continued to rage across the vast continents of the world, Fíona began to wonder. Why was everyone fighting? Why couldn’t they all just be friends?
At first, the adults in the orphanage thought that her questions were cute, and that she was just too young to understand the reasons behind the war. But, the more the adults tried to dissuade her form asking about it, the more Fíona pestered them about it. She may have been young, but she was sharp, and she knew when something was wrong. The constant questioning eventually turned the adults against her, to the point that when several men from the government came to collect a few of the Japanese orphans for Internment, Fíona was sent along with them, the adults saying that she was a “Japanese loving Nazi apologist”. She was five years old at the time.
Now, to some people, this turn of events might have spelled disaster, or at the very least, driven them into quite the state of depression. But not for Fíona. Sure, she had been taken the only home she ever knew and stuffed into a single tent with four other people who she didn’t even know. But at least she was still alive (and actually being feed more than one meal a day). All in all, things were actually starting to look up for the young girl, and they were about to get a whole lot better. Of the hundreds of families that had been relocated to Fíona’s particular camp, Fíona had the luck to be stuck in the same tent as the Megumi family, who had been visiting the United States when the war broke out. The Megumi family consisted of a father (Juro Megumi, 30), a mother (Kaede Megumi, 27), and a son (Kenjiro Megumi, 6), and although they only spoke broken English at the best of times, Fíona took a liking to them almost immediately, especially their young son Kenjiro.
In turn, the Megumi family accepted her as one of their own, Kaede and Juro treating her as if she were already their daughter, and while Kenjiro was somewhat distant with her at first, he eventually grew to care about Fíona very deeply, to the point that he was the one that first proposed Fíona come with them back to Japan when the war ended. She accepted (obviously), and by the time the war hand ended, the Megumi family (Fíona in tow) had returned to where Fíona (and all of her children, and their children as well) would stay for the rest of her life: Karakura Town, a quaint little town that was filled to the brim with “paranormal” activity.
It was here that Fíona settled, and eventually grew up. She lived a long and happy life, and had two children with Kenjiro, one boy, who she named after her adopted father, Juro, and a girl, who she named Asuka. Fíona died at the age of 65, having lived a full and rich life. Kenjiro died two years after she did. Neither of them had ever seen so much as a single spirit, let alone a Hollow or a Shinigami. Their two Children, Asuka and Juro, eventually grew as well, Juro following his Grandfather and Father’s footsteps and joining the Police force, while Asuka went off to travel the world in search of adventure. Neither of them was spiritually aware. Juro eventually met and fell in love with a woman named Seiki Seijiro (who was actually a low level Quincy warrior of the Sakino clan), and they eventually married, giving birth on April 16th, 1982 to young girl they named Yuuko.
The moment Yuuko was born; her mother could tell that she was different from her father. The latent Spiritual power of the Hughes bloodline that had run dormant with Fíona and her descendants had been reawakened with the introduction of the Quincy’s genes, and surged through Yuuko with a vengeance. Seiki knew almost immediately that her daughter would have to be trained to use this power, and so, with great reluctance, she informed her husband of not only her daughters own latent abilities, but also her own. At first, Juro was furious that his wife had kept such a secret from him, and outright refused to allow his daughter to be trained in the Quincy arts. He would have forced Seiki to stop as well, but he knew his wife to well to believe she would listen.
And so, for the first nineteen years of Yuuko’s life, her latent Quincy abilities had sat, untouched, waiting to be awakened. If it hadn’t been for the fact that her mother had secretly been telling Yuuko about the history of the Quincy race as bedtime stories, Yuuko wouldn’t have even known what a Quincy was, let alone that she was one of them. And so, Yuuko’s father raised her to become a police officer, like him and his father before him, all the while keeping her from knowing the truth about who, and what she was. However, the elaborate le that her father had constructed around Yuuko’s life was not going to last forever, and on one fateful night, the entire thing came crashing down.
It was a night just like any other night, and Yuuko had just finished a long day of school, only to come home to an empty house. At first, Yuuko had thought nothing of it, her father was a busy man after all, and her mother was almost always running some sort of errand, it wasn’t that unusual to come home to an empty house. However, a feeling of immense dread fell over her after only a few seconds of being in the house, and after a few minutes of looking through the house to see if there was an intruder in the house (and finding nothing), Yuuko put the feeling of dread in the back of her mind, and went into the backyard to turn on the sprinkler, picking up a necklace that she had seen her mother wear on many an occasion, wondering why her mother had left such a prized family heirloom just sitting on the counter. What Yuuko saw when she opened the door to her backyard would scar her for the rest of her life.
Standing over the corpse of her father was a twisted, hulking monstrosity. It was a massive beast of insane proportions, standing nearly fifteen feet tall on all fours. To Yuuko, it looked like something out of one of her mother’s bedtime stories, a monster straight out of her childhood nightmares. And there it was, standing over the bloody, broken corpse of her father, its sick fangs already moving to tear into her mother, who had already been seriously injured trying to defend her husband. For a single moment, Yuuko was frozen in place by fear, a fear unlike anything she had ever known. And then, something happened. Something that Yuuko couldn’t understand, and wouldn’t understand for many years to come.
In a fit fury and terror, Yuuko had clung to the only source of hope she had left in her, a strange feeling flowing from her left hand and into the back of her mind, reaching out towards the necklace in her right hand with this feeling, bringing forth her bow for the first time. The sheer shock at seeing her left arm transform into some type of mystical bird nearly caused Yuuko to lose consciousness, but she held on long enough to fire a single shot of highly energized Reishi at the Hollow before her, finally collapsing into a heap just as the Hollow began to dissolve into nothingness.
Yuuko awoke in the hospital several hours later, her memories of what had happened fuzzy and incoherent. She was weak, tired, and, at least in her mind, alone. Her mother and father had died, and now she had been left to fend for herself. Or at least, that was what she had thought would happen. Just a month and a half after Yuuko’s life had been torn to shreds, she was visited by a strange man, dressed completely in white. He had come to Yuuko to inform her about her Quincy heritage, and offer her a place within her mother’s former clan. At first, Yuuko refused, calling the man a liar how was trying to prey upon her during a time of great personal grief. However, these protests were quickly silenced once the man called forth his bow, jolting the memories of her encounter with the Hollow that had murdered her parents out of the dark recesses of her mind. Everything that she had just been told, about the constant battle between Hollows and Shinigami, about humans and their strange abilities, and especially the things he said about the Quincy, all of it was true.
It was at this point that Yuuko had a sort of “Epiphany”, if you will. Everything in her life that had once seemed so out of control suddenly felt as if it had just fallen back into place, almost as if the mental scars that had been inflicted upon her that night had simply disappeared. She realized that, like her mother and father before her, she had an obligation to protect those who could not do it themselves, no matter who, or what, they were. After all, if she was supposed to be impartial when dealing criminals, why should she be any different when dealing with spirits? After a few days of mulling over her options, Yuuko eagerly accepted the man’s offer, ready to begin her new life the world first Police Officer Quincy (Yuuko had already been hired by the KPD to work as a beat cop by the time she had been taken into the clan).
For the next eighteen years, Yuuko would lead a double life (in fact, she still does), balancing her duties as a Quincy with her responsibilities as a police officer, while at the same time not only managing to gain control over her Quincy powers, but also rose through the ranks of both the KPD and the Ashikaga clan, to the point that she became a Lieutenant after only ten years on the force, and head of the Ashikaga clan only two years later. However, before Yuuko had time to settle into her roles as clan head, she was swept up into a series of events that would lead to not only the reformation of the Quincy Global Council, but also make her one of its most prominent members, second only to the Global Elder in both power and influence.

- Yuuko with Red Hair:
"... And my actions define me!"
Personality Traits:
Positive Traits in Blue
- Yuuko is what some would call a Protector. She is the quintessential clichéd police officer, doing her absolute best to live up to the “Protector of the Innocent” title that was handed down to her when she became a police officer, no matter who, or what, she is protecting, be it a defenseless soul or a man wrongfully charged of a crime he didn’t commit.
- Yuuko has a strong, cut and dry view of right and wrong, preferring to play by her own moralistic view of the rules than by what others deem true. However, most of the time Yuuko’s views on the rules coincide with what everyone else thinks as well, making it seem as if she is quite the Goody-Two Shoes (usually).
- Being a high ranking member of the Karakura Town Prefecture Police Department, she does head her own division after all (even if it is only a division that she created), Yuuko has to deal with multiple strange cases on a daily basis, be it tracking the patterns of Hollow appearances in order to narrow down what Hollow killed/threatened whatever particular soul Yuuko is trying to protect/avenge, to combing through hours upon hours of witnesses testimony to find the one crucial piece of evidence needed to break a case, leading to her developing a Keen, Analytical Mind, which she uses on an almost daily basis.
- Yuuko is incredibly Patient, able to focus on a single task for hours on end without so much as a single complaint, or even the thought of a complaint. This, combined with her Meticulous Nature and downright sheer Stubbornness makes for a powerful, and dangerous, combination (for criminals at least).
- Despite her lack of social skills in general, Yuuko is actually quite the Confident Woman, rarely getting flustered outside of social situations (read: talking to people that aren’t criminals makes her nervous). This confidence lends itself to her career quite effectively, allowing her to quickly rise through the ranks into a prominent position within the Police Department, even if she has hit the “Glass ceiling” as far as ranks go.
- After years of near constant police work and interrogations, Yuuko has developed a Keen Sense of Intuition, to the point that she can pin point the flaws in a person’s statement after hearing it just one time, and can even tell when someone is about to tell before they tell it (if she is face to face with them).
- Because of her many years of service within the KPD, Yuuko has developed a great sense of Loyalty to those she considers he comrades, and she would do almost anything to help those she deems worthy enough of that title, regardless of who, or what, they are.
- Having grown up as a tomboy in the early 90’s, Yuuko was constantly made fun of for her looks and attitude, to the point that Yuuko just Stopped Caring About What Others Thought of Her, and focused solely on how SHE viewed herself.
- Yuuko has worked for the KPD for a LONG time. Like, 23 years (she was doing freelance work when she was just 13). This long, and very illustrious, history with the Police Department has caused many, if not ALL, of the Officers below her to nominate her for Promotion on many occasions, to the point that some of the lower ranked officers already think of her as the De-Facto Chief of Police (Something that is both flattering and irritating at the same time, since she has no need for such a lofty position).
- Despite the fact that Yuuko is a rough, violent, and rude tomboy most of the time, she is [b]Still a Woman underneath her many, many layers, and as such still retains several of the “Girly” traits that many of her co-workers would heckle her for on a consistent basis if they weren’t so scared of her…
Negative Traits in Red
- Despite having fairly good control over her emotions, Yuuko has quite the Temper, which is very easily set off if one know the right buttons to push. For instance, if a criminal were to call her an “Ugly whore”, she wouldn’t at an eye, but if one of her male colleagues were to insinuate the she was inferior to him in some way, Yuuko would get incredibly pissed (to the point of physically harming whoever made the comment).
- Being a high ranking police officer, one would think that Yuuko would always follow the rules, and usually, you would be right. However, there are occasions in which Yuuko will completely ignore the rules and regulations of society, simply because she thinks they’re “stupid”. This has caused her to labeled as somewhat of a Rebel by her superiors, a label that isn’t entire inaccurate.
- Let’s face it. For all the time that Yuuko spends on a case, it’s only natural for her to get a bit worked up about its outcome. However, sometimes Yuuko gets so worked up in her case that she becomes dangerously Obsessed with cracking it, too the point that she will literally do nothing but focus on her case, not eating or sleeping until she has completed her objective.
- Yuuko is a damn Stubborn Woman. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got her screwed six ways from Sunday, she just does not give up, no matter WHAT it costs her. While this is normally a good thing, Yuuko can sometimes be a bit TOO stubborn, to the point of making a situation worse than it needed to be if she had just backed down.
- Having been raised all of her life to become a police officer, Yuuko is no stranger to some of the… coarser bits of language that some of the convicts she has dragged in over the years use, and has taken quite a liking to it, using at least one derogatory comment in every sentence. This has caused her to gain a reputation for having quite the Foul Mouth, not that it matters to her.
- Because of her long career as an interrogator, Yuuko has developed a keen sense for when some in lying, but along with this comes an Extreme Sense of Paranoia, which is so severe that Yuuko tends to think that anything and everything anyone says to her is either a lie, or at the very least, only half true.
- Having been raised since an early age to be a police officer, Yuuko was exposed early on in her life to copious amounts of violence, causing her to become Desensitized to things of a violent nature, to the point that Yuuko is only disgusted by the most brutal of cases (think serial killer who tears his victims guts out BEFORE he kills them).
- Because of her usually serious demeanor, Yuuko comes off a Cold & Uncaring to most people that she meets, and while this is far from the truth, Yuuko tends not to care too much about what they think, preferring to simply prove them wrong when she can.
- When it comes down to it, Yuuko really isn’t much different from the Criminals she arrests. She’s foul, violent, rude, and more than a little nutty. These facts alone would have her Riding the Line between Vigilante and Police Officer, but add in Yuuko’s Introverted Nature and you have one hell of a dangerous combination.
- Likes and Dislikes:
Likes- Yuuko likes things to have Order It doesn’t matter if that order is simple, like a list of names put in alphabetical order, or complex, like a list of Suspect arranged by their likeliness of committing a particular crime, as long as there is order, Yuuko is happy.
- Having been raised from an early age to be a police officer, is it any wonder that Yuuko like Arresting Criminals? The thrill of finally catching a criminal that had been on the run is more than enough to get Yuuko in a good mood.
- Growing up as the daughter of one of Karakura’s finest police officers, Yuuko was almost always exposed to Violence in one way or another, and eventually she grew to enjoy participating in acts of violence against others (so long as those others are Criminals, or Hollows attempting to harm innocent spirits).
- Being an arrow slinging Spiritual Warrior, Yuuko has grown to greatly appreciate the art form that is Archery, even if she has put her own twists into the traditional Japanese style (Read: Aiming for the middle of the face instead of the eyes, since it’s kind of hard to hit something in the eye with a big bolt of burning Reishi).
- Because of the fact that Yuuko grew up in one of the more populated cities in Japan, she was exposed to the wondrous world of Anime at an early age, and almost immediately took a liking to it. While Yuuko might not be the most hardcore fan out there, she still enjoys matching it in her spare time, regardless of what other people think of her.
Likes are in Green.
Dislikes- Having been raised to be a police officer, is it any wonder Yuuko despises Guns? It doesn’t matter if it’s a simple 9mm Pistol or (god forbid) an Assault Rifle, Yuuko hates them all equally, to the point that anyone holding such a weapon will be met with a swift (but non-lethal) beat down of the highest degree.
- Worse than idiots with guns, however, are People Who Think Women are Inferior than Men. It doesn’t matter if you’re a man or a woman, one of the quickest ways to piss Yuuko off is to go on about how men are better than women, and that women should stick to cooking dinner and raising the kids. Seriously. This REALLY pisses her off. Don’t talk about it.
- Even WORSE than those morons are the Dumbasses. You know who I’m talking about, the people who are just so damned STUPID you can’t help but want to strangle them? Yeah, THOSE idiots.
- But the one thing that Yuuko despises most of all are People who Harm Innocents. I mean, Come on! Why would you need to kill such an innocent little child? It was A FUCKING BABY! WHAT THE HELL DID IT EVER DO TO YOU?! *Murders*
Dislikes are in Brown.- Yuuko likes things to have Order It doesn’t matter if that order is simple, like a list of names put in alphabetical order, or complex, like a list of Suspect arranged by their likeliness of committing a particular crime, as long as there is order, Yuuko is happy.
"You caught me in a Mono-log!"
Additional information:
- Overall Personality:
- First off, and most importantly, Yuuko is an incredibly serious person. Yuuko is the kind of person who focuses solely on the task at hand, letting nothing get in the way of completing her set objectives, not even the death of a Comrade (although that will make her work harder to achieve her goals in their memory). This constant serious attitude puts others off of Yuuko at times, but when the chips are down and you absolutely need someone to count on, Yuuko is almost always guaranteed to be prepared for whatever you throw her way.
However, that does not mean that Yuuko does not have a harder side. If the situation is relaxed enough (for instance, if she was with a group of young children, or if she is with someone she trusts completely_ Yuuko’s serious attitude makes a remarkable reversal. She becomes very kind and friendly, to the point of being almost flirty at times (especially if she actually likes the person she is talking to, regardless of their gender). However, once the situation becomes even mildly serious, Yuuko’s mask pops right back on, and won’t come off until the situation has calmed down.
Yuuko also seems to have an extreme case OCD (She makes it a point to keep every dish in her house order by the date she bought them, new ones in the back, old in the front), following a daily routine that starts at 8:00 AM sharp every day, regardless of what happened the previous night. Yuuko becomes very upset when things are not properly in order, practically flipping out if even the smallest detail is out of place, something that her fellow police officers abused to great effect. However, her behavior became so bad (Yuuko tied to stab a superior officer after she thought he moved one of her Pencils out of place) that Yuuko was given her own private office, which no one is allowed to enter unless they have her permission.
Finally, and this is perhaps the second most important point about Yuuko, is the fact that she is very intelligent. Her intelligence, is of course, not like the intelligence of someone who has spent the majority of their life in school (Read: College Grads), it is more practical in its usage, more geared towards reading and understanding the thoughts and intentions of others than the complexities of things such as Thermodynamics and other such things. This type of intelligence has led her up through the ranks of the KPD quite nicely, to the point that many of the officers below her look up to her as a source of inspiration.
As a quick note, any type of romantic relationship with Yuuko is going to be VERY difficult to achieve, regardless f what sex you are (Yes, it WILL be possible for another woman to get into Yuuko’s pants… if you RP it the right way). You WILL have to work to get to know her, and you WILL have to come up with a tangible reason for the attraction to be there (for both parties), and even then, it STILL might not happen.
"You will be punished!"
- Spoiler:
- Spoiler:
Mekkyaku Ability: The bow of Suzaku's power lies in the great Summer Flame that roars within. As a result, it is capable of shooting the arrows it manifests without the use of a draw, employing only the internal explosions much like a gun. Many of the techniques one could learn with this weapon require a draw; however, harnessing the full power within and adding the users own strength requires more than just pulling back the bowstring.
"Are you the one from my past?"
RP Sample:
Note: This was my RP Sample for Yuuko from BG, if you want me to change it, I will.
Yuuko was by no means what some would call an “Impatient” woman; one didn’t stare down criminals for a living without having at least some level of moxie, and among the officers of the Karakura Police Department, Yuuko was considered to be one of the best, if not THE best, at waiting out a suspect during interrogation. But if she had to sit through one more fucking second of the downright ridiculous procedures required to begin a Sakino clan meeting, she was going to end up killing someone, or at the very least lay a beat down on the moron that had designed the new clan procedures. Whoever had thought it would be a good idea to begin the meeting with a reading from the Scroll of Elders was a fucking moron. For God’s sake, the damn thing isn’t even written Japanese! How the hell are we supposed to understand what they’re saying?
Probably had something to do with some ancient tradition or something along those lines. It didn’t really matter to Yuuko in the long run, but right now it was starting to get on her nerves. Looking up towards the table where the heads of the Sakino Clan where situated, Yuuko frowned at them, her irritation evident as she stared directly at each and every one of them in turn. Why in the hell had they even called this meeting anyway? It wasn’t like there were any other members had even bothered to show up. If it hadn’t been for the fact that she had bumped into the clan elder himself on her way out, she wouldn’t have even had to attend, there was literally no one there but her and the clan leaders. And the clan Elder, sneaky bastard that he was, always popping up when she least expected it. She seriously needed to learn how he did that. It was scary how easily he slipped through her senses.
A voice, soft but firm, cut through the Nii-Sei’s mellow reading, impatience all but painted onto the face of the clan elder as he spoke to nearly empty meeting hall. “I do believe that will be enough Nii Sei. I think our guest gets the point.” For an instant, the Nii-Sei looked as if he might object, but a single, stern look from the Clan Elder silenced his objections before they could even form. Spineless bastard. Grow some fucking balls! You’re the third highest ranking member of our clan for God’s sake! He’s you’re leader, not you’re damn boss![i] That was the problem with this clan. It was like everyone walked with a fucking stick up their ass or something. She was all for tradition, but when it got in the way of doing your job, what was the point?
Once more focusing on the proceeding in front of her, Yuuko noted with a small smile that the Nii-Sei had vanished, taking the Scroll of Elders with him. [i]It’s about damn time. Now we can finally get to the point of all of this… Clearing her throat, Yuuko raised her eyes to towards those of her clan elder, meeting the man’s gaze head on , her voice calm but sharp as she spoke to her superior. “So. Now that we’ve gotten the pleasantries out of the way, would you mind telling me what the fuck this meeting is about? I have a crime scene to get to.” Not exactly the most truthful of sentences, but then again, a little white lie here and there was good for a person, so long as it wasn’t directed towards her. People who lied to her tended to end up being raped in a jail shower. At the very least.
Still staring at her clan elder, Yuuko continued to stare directly at the man, her eyes attempting to bore holes into the man’s skull as she impatiently awaited his response. After a moment of utter silence, the clan elder stood up, his voice calm, but somehow weary, as he gave Yuuko his reply. “Child, as you no doubt have guessed, this little gathering of ours is no ordinary clan meeting. It has come to our attention that you have recently been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant at your day job. Is this correct?” Yuuko simply nodded her head in agreement, curious as to where the elder was taking this. Perhaps she was going to be rewarded for her hard work in the KPD? It wasn’t like her promotions hadn’t helped the clan, if anything it had probably helped them in more ways than Yuuko knew.
Smiling slightly, the elder continued on with his speech, his voice becoming more ragged and weary as he spoke, bits and pieces of his dialogue interrupted by the occasional fit of coughing. “Good, good. You always were very driven, weren’t you Yuuko-chan?” A small smile slid across Yuuko’s lips, memories of her early days as a Quincy trainee flitting through her mind as the old man spoke to her. He WOULD have known that, he’d been the one to train her after all. She had to give it to the old bastard, he might look frail on the outside, but he was still tough as nails on the inside. What the hell is he driving at? Something’s not right here. The old man is never this reminiscent in public. Clearing her throat once more, Yuuko opened her mouth to speak, but was quickly cut off as the Clan elder began talking once more.
“As I was saying, your determination in this matter has not gone unnoticed Yuuko-chan, as has your progress with your Bow abilities. You’re becoming quite the little Quincy aren’t you? Yes… I think you’re ready.” Ready? Ready for what? What the hell was the old man saying? It wasn’t like she had gotten as good as he had with her Bow yet. Sure, she might have been better with hers than your average Quincy, but it wasn’t like she was THAT great, was it? He is seriously starting to weird me out. It’s almost as if he’s… No. He couldn’t be. There’s no way. He CAN’T BE serious about this, can he? As if he had read her mind, the Clan elder simply tilted his head towards her, acknowledging the unspoken assumption that floated in the air between them. He was going to make her head of the clan.
“But… why?” Yuuko sputtered, her voice filled with a mixture of confusion and concern as she spoke. “Why me? Isn’t there someone else more… qualified?” Surely there had to be someone else. Someone who was better equipped to handle the responsibility of taking care of an entire clans worth of people! She wasn’t cut out for something like this; she was just a police officer! She couldn’t lead an entire clan! She’d probably rip the damn thing apart from the inside! There HAD to be someone else, anyone else, who could do this better than she could. Right? Once again, the clan elder spoke as if he had read her mind, his calm voice quieting the concerns that were already beginning to take root in her mind.
“I know this is sudden Yuuko-chan, but I believe that there is no one more qualified for this position than you. What you lack in experience you more than make up for in your sheer tenacity and ability to inspire those around you.” As the talked, the old man stood up, his frail looking form extending to its full height as he continued to speak, his words giving a sense of confidence that she would have otherwise lacked had he not been there. “It is almost time for me to leave this world Yuuko-chan, and I cannot in good faith leave this to anyone but you. You are the only one I can trust with this responsibility. I know you can handle it. I wouldn’t be trying to give you the job if I didn’t.”
Moving from where he had been sitting, the clan elder quietly removed the traditional sash the identified the clan elder for who he, or she, was, draping the violet colored sash across his right arm as he approached Yuuko, a smile on his face as he knelt before Yuuko, offering up the sash for Yuuko to take. “I, Hisgai Kuwarato, do herby proclaim that you, Yuuko Megumi, are to be the next head of the Sakino clan. I do hereby forfeit all rights and responsibilities of this title, and bestow them upon you, so that you may have a safe and smooth transition to your new role.” For a moment, all was silent as Yuuko looked at the man who had once been her teacher, her leader, and perhaps the closest thing she had ever had to a father after hers had been killed. If he thought she could do this, then so would she.
Reaching out towards her old master, Yuuko grabbed a hold of the violet colored swath of fabric, her body and voice trembling as she responded to his words in the most formal way that she could muster. “I, Yuuko Megumi, do hereby accept this responsibility, knowing full well the risks and necessities required for this position.” And with that, the ceremony ended, and Yuuko stood as the new head of the Sakino clan. It was time to get to work.

Re: Application Change Request
Hey Izumi I went through it and 90% of the changes/additions are simple appearance things the only thing it is something that I felt an admin would look at to approve, as I looked at this when it first came out, was:
Bolded the added section. I didn't approve it because I felt an admin should deal with this part. Hopefully this speeds up the approval.

Re: Application Change Request
Considering Yuuko is the second strongest Quincy I guess that's fine. Just don't go shaping too much of the site's backstory around yourself. Stuff happened regarding the Tenshi Clan but it doesn't have much if any impact on the actual site's story aside from the fact that the Tenshis are a pro spirit Family.
If Kit or someone else doesn't get to the changes then I will later tonight.
