Stefan Aguillard (Quincy - Finished)
Quincy
"Who are you...?"
Name: Stefan "Asgeir" Aguillard
Age: 40
Gender: Male
Height & Weight: 5'10" and 158 lbs.
Eye & Hair Color: Green hair that reaches the nape of his neck in the back, and his bangs come down to an inch below his eyes. Amber colored eyes.
"I define who I am!"
Appearance: Stefan can usually be found wearing a suit, of the highest quality. His favorite suit so far would have to be his snow white one, and no not the Disney Princess. The color of the suit is white, like snow - which includes the blazer, the fedora, and the slacks. His fedora has a purple stripe around the center of it, making it an exception to the all white suit. Under the blazer is a purple button-down shirt, made of Persian silk. In between his button-down shirt and his blazer, there is a skinny red tie. When he is not wearing his white blazer, he can be seen wearing a white trench coat.
- "With Trench coat":
- "With Blaizer":
"... And my actions define me!"
Personality Traits:
Positive Traits
- Even in the most dangerous and hectic of times, Stefan manages to remain calm. This keeps his thoughts cool and collected in battle, and not strewn about - keeping him from focusing on the task at hand.
- Stefan has some pretty great ideas flowing around in his head, which would credit his reputation as a creative thinker. Most of the time though, these ideas are unorthodox and unrealistic, which make people unsure of his thoughts.
- Stefan has earned the reputation of being quite chivalrous. This was brought on by his extreme respect for women and children, and being a very proper person.
- In a battle, he has the ability to look past his feelings. He would do anything that it takes to win, and will begin to ignore love, or an ally in a fight - and do whatever he needs to.
- Stefan has been known to be rather compassionate. Which would mean he understands and respects someones needs and concerns by listening well and making an effort to see issues from their point of view.
Negative Traits
- Aguillard loves to fight, but there is always the fear of battle - in the back of his mind. He is always terrified that he may die, but without that thought, he would be very arrogant.
- He loves to drink, and doesn't care who knows that. This usually leads to fights, and sometimes - an ass kicking. He tends to drink to the point where it is no fun, and he blacks out. So naturally, he never remembers what happens the night before.
- Stefan loves cigarettes, and could be considered a chain smoker. This causes his athletic capability to suffer, because he can't run too much or fight too long, because his lungs have been damaged by smoke.
- He is also very reluctant, when it comes to working with the Clans. He doesn't believe in their motives for what they do, and believes their mere existence is a nuisance. With that being said it is no wonder that he is unwilling to help them.
- Aguillard is also very rebellious. He believes that an authoritarian society is complete bullshit, and should be wiped out. The thought of submitting to the "man," in order to live life the way they want you to really bothers him. So he says to hell with authority, and does whatever he pleases.
"You caught me in a Mono-log!"
Additional information: Fighting Style:
Aguillard has an interesting fighting style. He sets the base of his "art" with the martial arts style of Zui Quan (Drunken Fighting). No fighting really involved in the style, he just mimics the movements of a drunk and staggers around - using his weight to shift his body and dodge attacks. The second level of his martial arts form would be the tiger style. This is where a lot of his power comes in, with his bone crushing punches. It literally mimics the attacks of a tiger, which are very deadly - and can be quite lethal while used in a staggering manor. He also has included the throws and grappling maneuvers that come from Jujitsu, so he can get an enemy down or away from him rather quickly.
The Reiatsu:
Stefan has an interesting colored reiatsu. He has yet to see anyone else with the same as him, but his happens to be goldenrod. The goldenrod matches his eyes, and it flows rather smoothly - showing that he is capable of controlling his reiatsu. It acts just like an aura of a person, clinging to his body - and only flares out on request. Occasionally if he is experiencing intense anger of sadness, his reiatsu will violently lash around - not because he can't control his power, but in that state he just doesn't care to keep his reiatsu "in check."
Goals:
Stefan wants extreme power, so he is capable of making any problem come to an end - whether it be by force, or intimidating said person with his power.
Mastery of his Quincy bow, because he needs that in order to fulfill his first goal.
Even though he may not seem like it, he wants to fall in love, desperately.
Aguillard wishes for nothing more than his next goal, the breakdown of all the Clans. He wants all the Quincy to return to the way it should be, a massive organization. There should be no distinct way of doing this - they should just stay together, and do whatever it takes to survive.
Why Would You Smoke:
The only reason that Stefan actually smokes is - his grandfather smoked. His bond was his grandfather was very strong, and the two were inseparable. With that being said, he spent most of his time with his grandfather while growing up - so it was only natural that he would want to smoke. Old man Aguillard never really though any differently about smoking around a child, so he never stopped - which would make it seem okay for Stefan to smoke in the future. After his grandfathers passing, he decided that to remember his grandfather, and feel like he was around, always - he decided to begin smoking.
"You will be punished!"
Mekkyaku: Mekkayu: Crusade
The Mekkayu that Stefan uses keeps to the traditional sense of a "Quincy cross." In comparison to a regular crucifix, there are very few differences. The first difference would be the lack of a "Jesus like figure" on the cross, and the second most prominent feature would be - the color. Of course there is never a restriction for a color of a cross, but they tend to stay along the colors of wood, brown and so on. This cross is black, not from any darker meaning, it really is just a fashion statement on Stefan's behalf. This cross is attached to a string of black rosary beads, in total there are thirty beads (one bead for each year of his life). Considering the fact that he wears these in to battle, one would assume that they would be destroyed or somewhat damaged, but they are in mint condition.
- "Crusade":
Quincy Bow:
Most Quincy use a bow - whether it be basic or advanced, but recently Quincy have been using guns. Stefan uses neither of the two, but instead uses a variation of the crossbow known as a "pistol crossbow." The handle of his crossbow is made of Oak Wood, and is polished constantly - to give the illusion that it is brand new. Its bow is silver and bent back into the shape of an actual bow, with strings coming off either side of it - connecting to a point called the nut. All the main parts that actually attach to the handle itself are made of silver as well - and at the bottom there is a loop, which contains the trigger.
- "Bow":
Also over time, Aguillard has customized his bolts that he fires. He has learned how to manipulate his reishi into other objects, and has gone from a regular pointed tip, bland bolt - to something much better. The bolts he uses now are on par with the modernization of his crossbow, and are used by hunters everywhere. The tip of the bolt is still sharp, but instead of coming in rounded on the sides and pointed at the end; it is triangular up to the tip of the bolt head - which is then sharpened, as usual. At the top of the shaft where the bolt head connects, there are three triangular "heads." These are used on arrows to allow them to soar through the air more easily, in other words, he has added them to allow his bolts to be more aerodynamic.
- "Bolts":
Mekkyaku Ability: Unlike most Quincy, Stefan is not limited to simple bolts of either weakly formed Reishi that share the color of his Reiryoku or basic wood or metal bolts. Instead, he wields a natural affinity towards spontaneous Reishi manifestation of varied and complex types. Whether it be a single element (such as silver), or a complex compound (such as nitroglycerin or worse), or anything in between, Stefan has the capacity to learn how to form bolts comprised either wholly or in part of a Reishi equivalent to any substance found on earth. All it takes is study of the substance in question until he understands it completely, a few hours of practice mastering bolt formation of the substance in question, and a technique slot, and Stefan can shoot it (for the right stamina cost of course.)
"Are you the one from my past?"
Background:
Enter Asegir: God's Spear!
Unlike most powerful children being born, this story is not cliché. Stefan was born to a regular human mother, that had no spiritual awareness nor any form of power. On the other hand, his father was a full fledged, Nomadic Quincy. Naturally the Quincy gene would be dominant in the child, making him a Quincy - adding one more to the race. August 10th, 1981 was the day that he came into existence - with a rather odd reiatsu flowing around him, but luckily only the father could see it. In an architectural sense, Stefan was born into one of the most beautiful cities in the world - Avignon, France.
Growing up was rather difficult for Stefan, dude to the fact that his father was Nomadic, so he immediately left - but gave his mother an envelope, with a phone number. "If our beautiful son ever 'changes,' please call me here." With his father gone, it was just him and Mrs. Aguillard, and being a single mother is no easy job. Due to his mother working all the time and no one to actually babysit him, he had to stay with his grandfather. This is where the bond began, and the training of a young Quincy.
Enter the Mekkayu: Don't Fail Me, Crusade!
Old Man Aguillard, or as he was named at birth: Sven Aguillard, was to take care of the little boy. Every time his mother needed him to be watched, Stefan was brought to a mountainous community, on the outskirts of town. This would be the perfect setting to show Stefan what it meant to be a Quincy, and possibly be the location where he would be able to utilize his powers. At the top of this mountainous community lies a chapel like building, which in olden times, was the French Quincy Council building. This is where the boy would be "reborn" as a powerful Quincy, through extreme training: physical and mental (meditation).
It had been a few years now, since Stefan had been coming to the town everyday for training, and his grandfather was ready to push him to the next level. This is the time in his life that he was given his Mekkayu, which was a necklace, bur more specific, rosary beads. The Mekkayu, or Quincy cross is the item that every Quincy uses to summon their "bow," so it was very important that Stefan begin training to master it at a young age. Being only ten years old now, he was more than ready for the training, his spiritual pressure was even proof of that. Asegir (Stefan's knew nickname - means God's Spear in Norse) was being pushed to his limits, in the attempt to try to manifest his Reiryoku and create a Quincy bow.
The ability to create a Quincy bow actually took a lot of energy to do, and could be seen as Stefan even reached the point of passing out, due to exertion of too much energy. Energy was something that was beyond precious to a Quincy, because they needed it for every single form of attack they used - so it was an excellent method for later use - to master energy conservation at a young age. If a Quincy could manage their energy correctly, and improve the quantity of it greatly, and at a young age - they would be at a master level in skill as an adult, if they kept the proper training up.
At the age of ten, Stefan had finally managed to manifest his bow, but there was something different about it, as his grandfather stated. Some Quincies had guns, some had bows, but this was an exception to both of those rules - Stefan had a crossbow, and not a standard one at that, a one-handed crossbow. This is also where Stefan adopted the nickname "Asgeir." His Mekkayu was called Crusade and was a set of rosary beads, while his crossbow was that of a Crusaders. The nickname was for the appearance of his possessions, but also one other thing - his arrows. Together a "holy" weapon and crossbow bolts, would come together and be "God's Spear."
Sven Aguillard saw it fit, for this age at least, to also teach his grandson about the Quincy Council. He explained all the rules, and their old fundamentals to him, and also all the precautions for dealing with "exiles or mavericks." The Council was run by several very powerful Quincy, which enforced their law upon the world: Death to hollows, and keep spirits safe. At this time, Stefan was also informed about hollows and Shinigami. Nothing really made sense anymore to the boy, demons, dead swordsman and destructive monks? This all seemed like something out of the many fantasy cartoons he watched, and the assumption wasn't far off either. It was at this day in time, that the young Stefan Aguillard would swear his loyalty to the French Quincy Council.
Departing From Mother: The Last Step of Becoming a Quincy!
Five years had gone by since Stefan was able to activate his Mekkayu and use his Quincy bow. His spiritual powers were now flourishing, and he was capable of sensing and seeing the dearly departed better, but this seemed to be a problem to his mother. Mrs. Aguillard knew nothing about spiritual beings, or that her husband was a Quincy, so she assumed that Stefan was crazy, or possessed. There was nothing wrong the lad, he could see spirits and his mother couldn't - but she was worried, so she did the only thing she could think of.
Stefan's father had been contacted, he was needed to come get his son - due to the "changes" he had undergone. His mother was in a state of hysteria as she witnessed her son talk to "invisible people," and how he always rambled on about Quincies. His mother believed that the father could talk some sense into the child, but in reality the mother needed some sense forced into her. Everyone on Mr. Aguillard's side of the family was a Quincy, and everyone on the her side of the family was a human - when the two mix, they create another generation of Quincy. Of course she didn't want to believe it, and went into a fit of rage requesting that her son be exorcised, so his father took him away - far away from her.
The next destination in his path as a Quincy was the Pope's Palace, in the center of the city of Avignon. This was where the French Quincy Council now operated from, and this is where Stefan would train and stay with his father, in order to become a full fledged Quincy - and be able to join the Council. His father allowed him to do anything he wished, as long as he kept up with his training and was able to stand a chance in a spar with him. This is around the time that Old Man Aguillara (the grandfather) passed away, and Stefan had a breakdown. He couldn't let his emotions get in the way, nor forget his grandfather... so this is where two parts of the boy were born. One was the start of his smoking habit, because his grandfather smoked all the time around him - therefore, the only way he could keep his grandad around 24/7 was to smoke as well. The second thing would be his ability to look past his emotions, and concentrate on what really matters, and at this time it was his training.
A few more years had passed, and Stefan had grown even older, and of all things - today was his 20th birthday. He had been going to college, to further his knowledge whilst training as a Quincy, so he could have his strength and his smarts to back him up. He had majored in French, and had a minor in a form of architecture, which would come in handy in any situation. Around this time was when Stefan was offered a "job," which involved going to Japan to investigate why the Japanese Quincy Council broke up, and was an opportunity for him to see the world as well. Without hesitation he took the offer, immediately going back to his room to pack his belongings and leave, but there was a catch to the job. As long as he fulfilled his duties and relayed information about the location he was going to, his food, room and board and clothes would be paid for. That was an easy enough task for him, but there was also something he didn't know - where he was going was one of the worlds biggest spiritual areas, Karakura Town.
Life In Karakura Town: A Long Ways From Home! Own!
Karakura Town, a district of Tokyo, Japan, and one of the worlds largest hot spots for spiritual activity. Many battles have been fought in this town by Quincy and Shinigami, in order to prevent hollows from destroying innocent souls. This town happened to be full of spiritually aware humans, which was something that Stefan was not familiar with - coming from his town in France, where literally no one was spiritually aware. Majority of the people here could see spirits or communicate with them, without seeing them, whether they wanted to believe their ability or not - was up to them.
Ten years it has been already, since Stefan Aguillard moved to Karakura, and he had made an impression so far in the community. He had become a teacher at the Karakura Town College, where he taught French. As the Quincy Council had said, they would pay for everything for him - as long as he worked for them, and send them information they required, and so far he had done exactly that. His house was rather impressive, the Quincy didn't like to be cheap - therefore they bought him an extravagant house. It was medium sized, but all the appliances and furniture it came with made it seem like it belonged to royalty. He lived in a private sub-division, which was gated in, around the center of the town.
Shortly after his arrival in the city, he began working - not even taking time to actually settle in. The Quincy Council broke up, and in its absence, three Clans were created. The Clans each took separate motives for being around, from the Council - which combined the three into an idea that all Quincy should live by, the idea that Stefan lived by. These Quincy should be destroyed, or at least that is what Stefan thought - they were a disgrace, and tried to rebuild the glorious Council, which wasn't going to fly with Stefan. He vowed to destroy the Clans, even if it was the last thing he did - and even received permission from the French Quincy Council to do so.
Stefan hated any Quincy that did not abide by the rules of the Council, and even if it was no longer around in Japan - he did not care. The Council's rules are what have governed the Quincy from the beginning, and should remain if place till all the Quincy were wiped out of existence. What happened next was unforgivable in his eyes - the head of one of the Clans requested a meeting with Stefan, and he couldn't wait to bite the leaders head off.
Desired Position: Ryder's Assistant, Whatever he is awarded.
RP Sample:
Even though Stefan despised the Clans, he had been requested to meet with one of the heads. Of course he would never dare of joining them, because his allegiance was with the Council still, and always would be - but he would take this as an opportunity to give the Clan leader a piece of his mind. He had been picked up by a limousine to be taken to the Masaru compound, and it was rather nice on the inside - but Stefan saw it as a way to "buy" his loyalty.
Things were not looking so good for the Masaru leader, in Stefan's head at least. He planned on doing anything he could to provoke the head, and if it resulted in combat he would gladly kill off the leader, and then move onto the other clan heads. But in reality he dared not to do so, because he didn't think even now, that it would be okay to take a fellow Quincies life. The limousine pulled up outside of the compound, and the door to Stefan's side was opened - by a strange man.
"Hello sir, you must be the fabled Stefan Aguillard, the Quincy from France! It is a pleasure sir, Mr. Masaru is actually waiting for you now, in the top of the compound - if you would like to join him."
Now things seemed a bit odd to him, why wouldn't the man come meet him by himself? Had he possibly known about the hatred that Stefan possessed for the Clans, and that they should be eradicated? Even if that was the case, the guy should have enough balls to come and welcome his guest, rather than have one his "thugs" do it. And what could he even mean by fabled? That really didn't make any sense to Stefan, but maybe in a way it did - he was the only Quincy that relied mostly on his Steele Schneider, which was totally unheard of anymore.
After going through a series of corridors and up many flights of stairs, Stefan and the mysterious man had reached the Clan leader's quarters. They were going to be left alone, because the strange man that had greeted him was needed elsewhere, so the chamber doors were closed again. From what Stefan could see, this was the typical setup for a rich man in power, like in the movies. There was a bear skin rug, fancy wood paneling, a fire place - and a huge desk, with massive windows that overlooked the courtyard. He took a seat though, right across from Mr. Masaru, and they began their chat.
Masaru: "So I have called you here to request that you join the Masaru clan, and be my right hand man. I do not expect you to make up your mind today, so I will give you three weeks to decide, before I call you back - but please, feel free to ask me any questions you have.
Stefan was trying to hold back from laughing his ass off, he would have been crying if he actually laughed. This guy was hilarious! Did he not realize that Stefan was the son of one of heads of the Council back in France? That would make him 100% loyal to the Council, and not to these pathetic little clans. This was the chance he had been looking for, he could finally give the leader a piece of his mind. Stefan knew this probably wouldn't be pretty, but he could care less - the Clans needed to know their place.
"Alright, one thing you gotta understand Mr. Masaru, is that I am the son of a Council member, and refuse to work for anyone but the Council. Based on your request of me, I can sense desperation in your voice and that your clan is in need of members, and that you would do anything to obtain them. If you really want members, go request some of the Quincy that have abandoned their race, and chosen to not follow the Council - and as for you. I don't even have words to describe someone like you, you don't even follow the Quincy rule anymore! The Council is the only way to go. I have already made up my mind, and I do not require the full length of time you have given me, thanks but no thanks sir. You and your dinky little Clan go fuck off for all I care, my allegiance is with the Council! Good-day sir."

Re: Stefan Aguillard (Quincy - Finished)
I can hold off until Ryder is made, but one thing. Ryder is going to be getting the Clan Elder position. So pretty much as of right now until I get the Quincy stuff finished the Elder doesn't have a Clan per-say... So yeah... Want me to wait for this or just award you a generic amount of EP and you can join however it seems to fit?
