Etymology: Ren is written like ‘Romantic Love’, Ten is written like ‘Heavenly’, and Shi is written like ‘Messenger’.

Eye & Hair Color: Ren has sandy golden eyes, and her fur and hair are both a bone white color, naturally. As for it always being like that…

"I define who I am!"

Appearance: Ren tends to come in a variety of forms thanks to her abilities as a Fox spirit being regained, but it could be narrowed down to three specific forms that are her most common, and reason she uses female pronouns. The first of which is her spiritual form. Ren’s spiritual form’s most notably obvious trait is the large white furry ears sticking from the top of her head, these ears themselves can actually be seen by anyone with spiritual power enough to see spiritual creatures, so long as Ren is not shapeshifted at the time. Additionally she also has at least one spiritual white bushy fox tail jutting from just above the crest of her butt. Sometimes she has more than one, and sometimes this tail can’t be seen at all if she is shapeshifted to not reveal it. From there she has short ear length bone white hair with a strong pointed chin and a small button nose. Her chest is more than adequate in this form and she has thick thighs with thin fingers and arms, with a pasty skin color.

Spiritual Form:

Her most general human form, and the one she ended up in when she became human is the form of a young twenty year old, with mid-back long white blonde hair and dark golden chocolate eyes, and a creamed coffee texture skin color with a similar body physique to her spiritual form. Her spiritual ears and tail can be seen in this normal human form if she is not shapeshifting it to not be there.

Human Form:

The last of her most common forms is her full fox form, which is an entirely white four legged creature with light blue to a sea green blue, with lots of fur tuft around her neck and a massive bushy white and off-white tail, her ears are a good half-foot in length, with her button nose and small paws at each her feet with four ‘fingers’.

Fox Form:

The majority of Ren’s clothing style stays very similar. She particularly takes a passion to halter tops, or outfits that bare her back and arms. She has a few sets of armor and outfits that are designed very similar to what Kunoichi would wear. She also has a sense of Japanese fashion though as well, using traditional outfits like Kimonos but then altering them slightly for shorter skirts. Strangely enough she tends to have very dark or drab or mute colors, or colors connected to nature rather than flashy kinds. She likes having her arms covered whether it be arm guards, sleeves or so on.

Personality Traits:
Force of Nature: The wrath of Ren Tenshi is never light. She isn’t just an angry person, she is a volcano waiting to explode. It’s better to just get out of her way when she drops into her fits of rage or things could end up quite bad.

Stubborn: When Ren sets her mind to doing something, there really is no turning back with her. She is one of the hardest people to convince that she shouldn’t do something, even when she knows herself, that she shouldn’t be doing it.

Protective: Although a new symptom to arrive from now having a family, Ren has become quite protective of those she has come to care about. She doesn’t take threats or damage to her family lightly, and she is quite ready for providing revenge against someone at any time. In fact touching her family is one of the things that brings out her anger the most.

Devilish: A silver tongue and trickery is just one of Ren’s many talents. She’s able to convince many people of various things, and can play all sorts of parts, able to match herself to a particular situation or even learn to copy people. Games are her most fun.

Sneaky: Ren isn’t just stealthy, she is crafty with her movements, to the point that she can sneak up on most anyone without them knowing, even when she wears little bells on her body, she can still end up surprising people at her sudden appearances.

Brash: Ren tends to jump straight into something without really bothering to think it all through. She plans things right on the spot and tries them out without really being much of a team player with anyone else, and doesn’t always think about her consequences, especially when she is angry.

Obsessive: Ren often gets obsessed with a particular person or thing, and simply has to follow through with it. This generally leads her down paths that hurt her, but that still hasn’t stopped her obsessions. These obsessions include Izumi, Cooking, and rediscovering her fox powers, so far.

Energetic: She seems to always have some energy coursing through her, that has been enough to even keep up with her young children. Ren is not the kind to be standing still very long, unless something has particularly caught her interest and requires her to stay still.

Out-spoken: Ren will voice her mind, no matter what. Exceptionally talkative, and even getting herself into trouble sometimes with the things she will say, even in front of her children. She doesn’t believe any topic is off limits, and tends to just say what she is thinking a lot of the time.

Passionate: Together with her anger, Ren is likely one of the most passionate people to ever come across, especially when talking about any of her obsessions, her children, or things that have caught her interest for the time. It is from this passion that led her to creating her own Udon shop.

Leadership: Ren often assumes a dominating or strong role amongst a group of people, directing where people go, what they do, and how they should do it with ease, and without thinking about whether they will do it or not. This includes directing her children.

Creative: Ren can often be quite imaginative with her abilities and her food, and much anything else. She likes to see an artistic side come out occasionally, and is truly quite the romantic and poet as well when it comes down to it.

Vain: If the fact that Ren shapeshifts regularly and keeps herself looking young wasn’t obvious, then it should be noted that Ren has a serious problem with aesthetic beauty on herself. Likely the reason her forms are mostly female that she assumes, she likes to be beautiful and catching to the eye, and takes good care of her looks, her tail and so on.

Relaxed: When not invoked by her anger or passion, Ren is a relatively quiet and composed and relaxed individual. She tends to ‘go with the flow’ and do things as they come, not worrying very much or at all, except with her passions and obsessions.

Additional information: Tail Stroke: Ren particularly likes her tail stroked, enough that often times she can go from a fit of rage to a peaceful being. However do not stroke her tail the wrong way, that will just irk her more.

Reiatsu Sniffing: Ren doesn’t possess normal reiatsu sensing, or much at all, she can simply smell Reiatsu when it is around her. Each person has a particular scent for their reiatsu. Ren’s reiatsu scent is musky red bean paste. Her particularly favorite scent was Izumi’s, who has golden apple scented reiatsu.

Food: Ren has a particular obsession and love for food. Her favorites are apples, udon noodles, and deep fried tofu. She eats frequently and often, and generally always has some kind of food on her. She has also become quite the cook as well, having spent ten years being completely human learning to cook.

Udon Shop: Ren currently owns a Noodle Shop, which is named ‘Konkon Udon’. This noodle shop not only has some of the best Udon in Karakura town, but the best service as well. The shop also serves as a front for the Tenshi family to handle spiritual investigations, as a spiritual detective agency. Many of the people in the spiritual worlds are well aware of this shop, and Ren caters to both spiritual and human kind, with a back area hidden for spiritual kind.

"You will be punished!"

Fullbring - Fox Soul: After spending close to a decade within a human body with nothing more than being able to see the spirits around her she used to interact with regularly, Ren had finally manifested some spiritual power once more, in the form of what she previously was, a fox spirit. Her fullbring was upon her own body, manifesting a spiritual tail, like the one she had when she was a fox spirit, as well as spiritual fox ears, both of which can only be seen with reiatsu perception unless she is using the other ability she gained from her first tail. Additionally she regained her sense of smelling reiatsu signatures, having been unable to perceive reiatsu signatures, working similar to Presequisa for Arrancar except that it is not sound based, but smell based. Additionally she has enhanced senses of smelling and hearing, she can smell things at about the same distances as she can smell reiatsu, and more intense things like blood, sex and what you ate for breakfast. With the emergence of her fox spirit powers once more, she also regained some of the missing memories from her time as a fox, and has been slowly over time since. Because of her Fox Soul Fullbring, she is relearning Ninjutsu, her Fox Magic, and a style of fox fighting. As well as receiving more than just her first tail of power. Each new tail she gets provides a new ability. Any new tail beyond the first has to be activated, her first tail and fox ears always exist on her though. Her first tail granting her the basic powers of a Kitsune.

Ren uses her fullbring stat to determine distance and how well she can sniff reiatsu and other things as well around her. Each tail is considered a technique, with her first tail gained from the natural fullbring manifestation, specifically granting her shapeshifting capabilities. Her remaining tails each depend. Each one of her tails are capable of being used as a spiritual weapon, and can actually block against attacks in the same way of using a weapon or her body normally.

"Are you the one from my past?"

Background: Ren’s life started as a tiny white fox, in a spiritual land very far away from Earth. She spent close to her first hundred years of life as a fox, playing and pouncing and enjoying her life, with her other fox siblings. Until she was chosen by the great Kami, Inari, to become a true Kitsune (Fox Spirit). For such a great honor she of course accepted. Developing her second tail and living her next hundred years learning Ninjutsu and fox magic, to become one of Inari’s stealth operative foxes.

However, this was also the first time that Ren got a taste for Earth, being sent to Earth to learn from one of the other Kitsune there. She got to taste the food there, and fell absolutely in love with it. It became difficult from there to get her to leave Earth at all, occasionally coming back to relay messages, but mostly taking jobs for Inari that involved tricking men or women, or relaying messages to various people.

It wouldn’t be until around two-hundred and twenty years old, the time when Ren was supposed to be getting her Tail of Loyalty to become forever loyal to Inari, that Ren saw her. Izumi Tenshi, a young girl not much more than fourteen years old at the time. Ren caught a sniff of her reiatsu and it just entranced her right there. She completely neglected her duties as a Myobu (Inari’s Fox), to constantly watch over this young human girl. She even shapeshifted herself when Izumi was fourteen years old, into a fourteen year old boy, to try and seduce Izumi, but she failed miserably with this first attempt, and at that point it set off her obsession.

From there, Ren spent the next three years of her life, only just barely doing the duties she is tasked by Inari, but never leaving Earth, and constantly adopting disguises to seduce or even just meet and interact with Izumi frequently. But each time she tried, it failed yet again. No matter what she did she couldn’t convince this young woman to spend time with her for very long. Eventually after three years she had exhausted every possible trick that Ren had in trying to sleep with this woman that was apparently a Miko for another Kami. So in one last ditch, act of desperation she went to where Izumi lived in her normal spiritual form with her fox ears and tail, dropped to her knees, and explained to Izumi each and every single person she had been for the past three years around Izumi, and that she had never felt this way about anyone before, and would be happy if she could just see Izumi regularly still when she comes back to Earth each time, even if they can never have anything together.

For some reason, whatever it may have been, the young Miko, chose that night to break her vow of chastity and slept with Ren. However that night would end up being Ren’s undoing. After they had finished going all night, they were laying next to each other in bed, when Izumi was taken possession by the very Kami that Izumi looked after, Amateratsu. Ren was struck down by the great Kami, stripped of her powers and left in a normal human body for having caused Izumi to break her vows. Izumi was left unscathed feeling sorry for the young Miko.

The process from loosing all her spiritual power and becoming human, was enough to knock Ren completely out, when she woke back up, she was being tended to by Izumi. The young woman feeling sorry for what had happened, and wanting Ren to stay with her. Therefore, Ren left nothing, not even a note to her Kami, Inari or any other fox, and for the next ten years, she was completely and utterly human, living out a fully human life with her soon to be frequent lover.

During those first ten years, she showed not an ounce of spiritual power, and ended up investing herself in helping Izumi anyway she could, as well as doing things she never had gotten to do before, particularly Ren put herself full force into learning how to cook human food, her favorite dish to make becoming Kitsune Udon. Unknown to Ren at the time, she hadn’t just lost her Kitsune and spiritual powers when becoming human, but she also lost the memory of much of her capabilities as a Kitsune as well, particularly her Fox magic knowledge and her Ninjutsu training and her own style of combat had vanished from her mind. Only popping up in her movement sometimes or just naturally without thought.

Those ten years had passed relatively easily for Ren, despite having to adjust to the current human society and not having the powers she used to. But it would be one day when she came home to Izumi, after ten years being a human, when she could smell that sweet apple scented reiatsu that Izumi possessed. She nearly smothered Izumi at the time, with smelling her all over to take in that scent she had missed for years, at the time they didn’t know what it meant, but it wouldn’t be for a few weeks later that the reality of Ren’s powers would show up.

While Izumi had been dealing with a threat that needed to be purified in the town, Ren had managed to come nearby smelling Izumi’s reiatsu and another signature, she rushed off towards it, just in time to find Izumi having trouble against a hollowfied soul. Ren literally ran and jumped onto the back of the hollow to distract it, having it focus on her. She was tossed from the hollow into a building, arising from the damage in the building as the hollow stalked toward her, she looked bent and broken, able to barely make out the outlines of the hollow, she wished deeply that she could actually do something for Izumi, that she wasn’t just in the way with these kinds of purifications. And that was when the hollow completely became visible to her, and just as the creature struck out toward her, her spiritual tail exploded from her back and flicked around to block the attack that barreled down on her from the hollow. Surprising her completely.

It was then that Izumi popped up and purified the hollow, right before Ren fell to her knees, being overwhelmed with some of the knowledge that had been stolen from her, flooding back into her mind. She started to remember a lot of the history she had forgotten, as well as her own abilities, her magic, and exactly what her tail provided her. Izumi was right next to her helping her up, but Ren stopped her and leaned all the way into Izumi, hugging her and kissing her and taking in her scent again as she became hysterical that her tail was back. Of course it wouldn’t be until later that same day that Ren would impart what that particularly meant for Izumi and Ren.

Because although she did gain her tail back and some of her powers lost, she was still very much human with a human body, simply with her fox powers back as well. But with her first tail back she could shapeshift once more. So after a few nights, and a couple months later it was clear that Izumi was in fact pregnant.

After their first child was born, two years after in fact, when Ren didn’t need to help take care of the child so much. Ren looked into opening up her own business, a food shop of course, but she felt that they could also handle doing some detective work for the more spiritually inclined things in the world. However when Izumi became pregnant again, Ren halted the operations for completing the Udon Shop she was having built. Having decided to have one more child after the current one. Ren waited an additional year until their twins were born before she finally went through with having the construction of her Udon shop completed. Now a parent to four children in total, Ren helped take care of the kids as often as she could, and with the ‘Konkon Udon’ built and ready to go Ren started up the business for handling spiritual matters that people of Karakura needed help with, while also rising to being one of the best Udon shops in town. As the kids grew older, most of them ended up frequently helping Ren out in the Udon Shop.

After the twins were born though, Ren swore off having any more children for now, feeling that four was more than a handful for the both of them. But before she relinquished her male form completely, that was used to have their children, Ren actually finally proposed to Izumi, by making Izumi a fine meal, and at the end, bringing out dessert, but instead of a cherry being topped on the ice cream, a ring was on top of the ice cream instead, Ren long having learned the customs of humans by now. She dropped to her knees when Izumi picked the ring out, and she proposed right there.

The two of them were married soon after, not spending long as fiancées. They got Izumi’s cousin to watch the kids for a few weeks, and had some friends and workers handle the shop while they had their honeymoon.

Many other obstacles came along the way afterward though, the twins particularly being the most troublesome, as well as Ren being worried about letting any of their children into public schools, do to the fact that by puberty it was quite obvious all of Ren and Izumi’s children were certainly quite spiritually gifted.

The woman had been her bane, her very downfall into a thicket of a mess. Once she was a great Kami spirit, tricking and misleading and defiling human settlements, and yet now all she was, was a mere human as well. It was one of those fates worse than death. A great fox spirit, reduced to nothing more than a human. She had weird floppy ears on the side of her head now, and no tail!! No tail! How could a human function without a tail! It was the cruelest fate of all! That was what Ren missed the most, her long flowing white fur tail.

Ren was worthless now though. A human that could do hardly anything. She only knew the human ways so much, and she had gotten by with the use of her magic for so long that she felt naked, and a nobody. Because she was. She wasn’t even a lowly Nogitsune anymore; she wasn’t even a Kitsune for that matter. And so there she laid, feeling exposed and yet clothed at the same time. Like a blanket of skin had been laid over what her normal spiritual body had always been. She was naked, nothing but this new human skin on her, with shimmering short white hair, and stupid little flaps for ears. But at the same time that was also what made her feel clothed.

She stood simply, nearly wobbling as she tried to get used to the new fleshy legs she had never had before, nor bothered with. Though it wasn’t the legs that were the problem, it was standing and balancing without a tail. She cursed herself for doing what she did. Never had she pursued a human like she had this one, and look at the punishment she received for it. She should have known better than to mess with a Miko of another Kami; a Miko of Inari would have been bad enough. But no, Ren had to chase after a priestess of Amateratsu. And worst of all: she actually succeeded.

”How do you humans ever function without a tail!” Ren more demanded to know, than asked as she held her hands out to the side to balance herself further. She wasn’t even looking at the Miko that had been the bane of her troubles. Why couldn’t she have just left the virgin alone? She’d still be happy, a nice happy fox. Yet there she was, a pitiful human with nothing now. Despite her frustration, and annoyance and just general anger, beyond squeezing her hands into tight fists, she only lowered her head down in utter defeat. Because she knew what she had to do now. She had to beat down her pride, while she lowered herself to her knees, and bowed her head before the Miko, the darling Miko of her pain.

”I beg of you to give me shelter and food. I can never go back to my own den. I know very little of how to survive in your human world. I hope I do not ask for too much?” Ren pleaded before she slowly rose her head up to peak up at the woman who’s hair had now dyed a sheen silver. Possibly an after-effect to having such a powerful Kami take control of the poor woman. And to think this all had started simply because Ren had shown interest in wanting to bed a virgin. It was a test of her abilities, could she bed someone who took a vow of chastity? Well they both found out the answer to that. What royally screwed her was the consequences to that test though.

Her hands laid out flat in front of her, her head lowering once again as she swallowed and wiggled around slightly, feeling immensely uncomfortable in this new skin. She wasn’t sure how to explain, that she really only used the woman for a test. But as she thought about that, she wondered if that was really the case. She clearly didn’t just randomly pick this Miko out of a crowd and say she wanted her. She must have followed after the woman for close to four years before she finally managed to succeed. All that time she had watched the fair Miko turn into quite the woman, after all, she couldn’t have been much more than seventeen or eighteen years old even now.

The first time she tried to seduce this young woman, had failed horribly. She came to her as a fair man, poorly and sick and needing help, and she obliged. Maybe it was the kindness that had did Ren in. Seeing her so absolutely dedicated to helping her fellow humankind. She was the true epitome of a priestess despite her age. And now here Ren was begging for help again, but in a body most reminiscent of the one she often took, minus her tail and ears. This time it was no trick, no illusion, and not to play a game. This time, for once, Ren was absolutely genuine.

She was still going to miss her tail though.
