Custom Skill: Kitsune-Ken
Literally meaning Fox-Fist, this is the style of martial combat in which Ren is capable in. The style itself is very dance-like, using quick movements, distractions, deceit, and a variety of weapons from thrown, to bladed or blunt, or even simply various parts of the body including teeth and tails or even magical talent. This skill only represents the actual style and not the actual skill with any of the weapons used, including that of the body. Ren can only use one of these dances at a time and switching to a different dance can only be done once every other turn. All bonuses are rounded down.

Beginner| Kitsune-Ken First Dance : Maika (Fire Dance) – While performing this dance the swirling and energetic movement performed help gather up magical energy to be used more effectively. The magical skill used to perform any technique that uses spirit as its standard stat has the skill rank considered to be +1 rank higher than normal while this dance is active. In addition the spirit stat is increased by 5% for each rank in Kitsune-ken while performing this dance, but the strength stat is reduced by 2% for each rank in Kitsune-ken.
Basic | Kitsune-Ken Second Dance : Maifuu (Wind Dance) – While performing this dance the quick pace, exceptional shifts, and speedy, bouncing movements assist in all around quickness with moving about a field. Any speed based skill used to perform techniques that center around speed are considered to have +1 rank than normal while this dance is active. In addition the speed stat is increased by 5% for each rank in Kitsune-ken while performing this dance, but the defense stat is reduced by 2% for each rank in Kitsune-ken.
Intermediate | Kitsune-Ken Third Dance : Maisui (Water Dance) – While performing this dance the flowing shifts of weight and fluid switch from one point to another help with keeping the physical body more adept. Any body/weapon based skill used to perform techniques that center around strength are considered to have +1 rank than normal while this dance is active. In addition the strength stat is increased by 5% for each rank in Kitsune-ken while performing this dance, but the spirit stat is reduced by 2% for each rank in Kitsune-ken.
Advanced | Kitsune-Ken Fourth Dance : Maiji (Earth Dance) – While performing this dance, keeping low to the ground and a firm balance with strong and deep stances, helps with keeping a proper defense lined up to hold against an enemy. Any defense based skills used to perform techniques that strengthen or assist in defending are considered to have +1 rank higher than normal while this dance is active. In addition the Defense stat is increased by 5% for each rank in Kitsune-ken while performing this dance, but the speed stat is reduced by 2% for each rank in Kitsune-ken.
Master | Kitsune-Ken Fifth Dance : Maikuu (Void Dance) – While performing this dance, the vital and eccentric movements combined with effective breathing with both strong yet flowing movements provides a particular balance. All skills that assist in speed, defense, physical or magical properties are considered to have their rank +1 rank higher than normal while this dance is active. In addition Strength, Speed, Defense and Spirit are increased by 2% for each rank in Kitsune-ken

Custom Skill: Kitsune-Bi
Literally meaning Fox-fire, this is far more than just fire, in fact Kitsune-bi is fox magic at the most fundamental level. Kitsune-bi is the magical energy before it is utilized by a fox in various ways, such as illusions, conjurations, manipulations, etc. Often formed as floating balls of pure spiritual energy at first before it is manipulated to produce a spell-like effect, Kitsune-bi can often float around a Kitsune when they are preparing spells, so that they are quicker at performing the spells when need be. This skill shows Ren’s capability in this particular magic as well as how straining it is on her to cast each power. The more powerful a magical ability the more balls of Kitsune-bi it would consume to perform, the normal being just one ball.

Beginner| Each ball of Kitsune-bi consumes 6 stamina. Gains one free Kitsune-bi Technique.
Basic| Each ball of Kitsune-bi consumes 5 Stamina. Gains one free Kitsune-bi Technique.
Intermediate | Each ball of Kitsune-bi consumes 4 stamina. Gains one free Kitsune-bi Technique.
Advanced | Each ball of Kitsune-bi consumes 3 Stamina. All Kitsune-bi Techniques consume only 1/2 of a technique slot.
Master | Each ball of Kitsune-bi Consumes 2 Stamina. All Kitsune-bi Techniques consume only 1/3 of a technique slot.

Human Skill: Fullbring
Ren’s fullbring, known as Fox Soul, provides many of the spiritual components that Ren previously possessed as a Kitsune, including her scent based ‘presequisa-like’ ability. Those skills obtained from her fullbring are focused into this stat, additionally, each rank in fullbring also unlocks another potential deep within Ren. Specifically, it has to do with her ‘Bi’ or Tails. At each new rank of Fullbring Ren gains an additional spiritual fox tail, entirely aesthetic until she uses a technique slot for the actual design of what the fox tail truly gives her for being manifested. For a spiritual being to visually be capable of seeing Ren’s tails or her ears, their Reiatsu Perception must be at the same level or higher than Ren’s Fullbring.

Beginner | Ren gains her second tail. This tail is known as the Tail of Trickery. Additionally Ren can smell reiatsu within 100 feet of her, and pinpoint the smell to a target within 50 feet.
Basic | Ren gains her third tail. This tail is known as the Tail of Loyalty. Additionally Ren can smell reiatsu within 500 feet of her, and pinpoint the smell to a single target within 200 feet of her.
Intermediate | Ren gains her fourth tail. This tail is known as the Tail of Power. Additionally Ren can smell reiatsu within 1000 feet of her, and pinpoint the reiatsu smell within 500 feet of her and can tell roughly how much reiatsu the person exudes.
Advanced | Ren gains her fifth tail. This tail is known as the Tail of Knowledge. Additional Ren can smell reiatsu within 2000 feet of her and pinpoint the reiatsu smell within that same amount of distance, she can also tell subtle traits about the person that possesses the reiatsu, like the food they most recently ate, or what type of spiritual or non-spiritual being they are.
Master | Ren gains her sixth tail. This tail is known as the Tail of Wisdom. Additionally Ren can smell reiatsu within 1 mile of her and pinpoint that reiatsu smell within the same amount of distance, she can also configure how much reiatsu that person has in compared to her own, and even pick up scents of reiatsu that are trying to be hidden if she concentrates.

Custom Skill: Ninjutsu
An ancient skill that had been passed down to Ren when she was just a young fox, Ninjutsu comprises of 18 different disciplines that all practitioners must be apt at to truly be considered what was deemed a shinobi. Ren specifically has had to slowly regain the memories of the knowledge and capabilities she possessed focused around this ancient art since becoming truly human. This skill shows Ren’s skill with her body, particular weapons she uses, as well as things like stealth, subterfuge, and even knowledge in certain subjects. This skill is used against various skills to determine things like how sneaky Ren can be against other targets, as well as her martial abilities.

Beginner | Body – Ren gains the skill to utilize her body completely in combat, including more agile and acrobatic maneuvers and even proper manipulation of her body in basic things like mannerisms to disguise herself. Specifically this grants her ‘Taijutsu’ (Unarmed Techniques) as well as ‘Hensojutsu’ (Disguise Techniques). Ren gains one free technique that can only be classified under the body subtype.
Basic | Weapon – Ren gains the skill to utilize a variety of different types of weapons in combat, and even outside of combat for an assortment of uses. Specifically this grants her ‘Kenjutsu’ (Sword Techniques), ‘Urumijutsu’ (Whip Techniques), ‘Shurikenjutsu’ (Thrown Weapon Techniques), ‘Kusarigamajutsu’ (Chain Techniques), ‘Soujutsu’ (Spear Techniques) and ‘Bojutsu’ (Staff Techniques). Ren gains one additional technique that can only be classified under the Weapon subtype.
Intermediate | Stealth – Ren gains skill focused around movement and craftiness and keeping herself hidden, as well as knowing how to infiltrate operations. Specifically she is granted ‘Shinobi-iri’ (Infilitration Techniques), ‘Intonjutsu’ (Stealth Techniques), ‘Chohou’ (Espionage Techniques). Ren gains one additional technique that can only be classified under the Stealth Subtype.
Advanced | Nature – The knowledge and utilization of the environment around Ren. This branch grants skill to Ren in using the elements of the world to her advantage or learning to fight in the most unusual terrain, such as water or deserts. Specifically she is granted, ‘Sui-ren’ (Water Techniques), ‘Kayakujutsu’ (Pyrotechnic Techniques), ‘Bajutsu’ (Mount Techniques). Ren receives one additional technique that can only be classified under the Nature Subtype.
Master | Mind – Ren receives knowledge focused around strategy of combat, deceit, how to use environment and the world itself to her advantage, and even the spirit to supplement with martial combat not through spells. Specifically she receives, ‘Bouryaku’ (Strategy Techniques), ‘Tenmon’ (Weather Techniques), ‘Chi-mon’ (Geography Techniques), ‘Seishinteki Kyouyo (Spiritual Refinement Techniques). Ren receives one additional technique that can only be classified under the Mind Subtype.

Tenshi Ren Empty Techniques

Post  Ren Tenshi Tue Oct 11, 2011 5:36 pm

Ren's Techniques

Technique 1. Fullbring: First Tail - Hengebi (Tail of Change)

Description: The manifestation of Ren’s first Kitsune tail also entails the most generic Kitsune ability, shapeshifting. A kitsune possessing their first tail is capable of actively manipulating their body to any form they see fit, from living things to mere objects, other people, or from a spiritual body to a physical body. The process is always done in a similar way, but with different objects. Ren must possess a bell of some kind upon her body any time she wishes to shapeshift, if the bell is ever removed she would revert to her normal form. Any form she assumes she has the natural talents of that form, such as from wings being able to fly, and gills being able to breath underwater. Additionally she can speak any languages she knows within any form she takes, and still possesses her own mind, as well as her living existence if she assumes a non-living form. A tail all Kitsune naturally possess but take time learning how to use its power.

Disadvantages: The only real exception to a Kitsune shapeshifting ability is they must always be only a single object or being. Additionally she must have a bell to shapeshift, used as a conduit for her powers to produce the effect. Each shapeshifting process consumes a total of however much 2 Kitsune-bi balls of energy would cost the user.

Level: Any

Technique 2. Fullbring: Second Tail - Ouwakubi (Tail of Trickery)

Description: The second Kitsune tail deals specifically with things not always being what they seem. Specifically for Ren, she gains the ability to will a non-intelligent object into the form of a bell by simply touching the object and transferring reiatsu into it, to manipulate the shape of it. The process changes the shape, mass, feel, look, and anything else except the scent of the object into that of a small metal bell not much more than a few inches in area. It will remain within that shape until Ren draws energy back into it, to produce the original shape and design it was before. This tail is generally manifested at the hundred year mark of being a Kitsune, something of a rite of passage.

Disadvantages: This ability cannot be used on any object that exceeds a mass of one ton, nor on anything that possesses reiatsu of some kind, but can be used on both spiritual and physical objects that lack any type of intelligence of its own, such as weapons that are not zanpakutou, or even foods or other simpler objects, even a bell. The process of changing an object into a bell consumes 5 stamina from Ren, the process of changing the object back however only takes a measly 1 stamina. Any object changed into a bell will still retain its original scent of whatever it is normally, but otherwise completely be a bell for all intents and purposes.

Level: Any

Technique 3. Fullbring: Third Tail - Jinchuubi (Tail of Loyalty)

Description: A tail obtained in only one fashion, the tail of loyalty required Ren to bind herself to a single person or Kami, permanently. Ren bound this tail to Izumi without entirely realizing it, and in turn was granted powers that focused around Izumi. Ren gained the ability to magically draw in and collect reishi to form a Soul Synthesized Metal. The metal can be shaped in any number of ways so long as it does not exceed a height of ten feet, a length of ten feet, and a width of ten feet. The Soul Synthesized metal is as durable and effective as a Zanpakutou but is considered both spiritual and physical. The ritual in which to produce this metal depends on the size of the metal object made, for every one foot in height, length and width, it takes 2 seconds to produce the metal object. Any metal object produced in this way remains as a permanent object, unless Ren actually performs another ritual to change the metal back into reishi.

Disadvantages: It takes Ren 1 point of Stamina for every 1 foot of length, width, and height for a metal object that she makes, with a minimum of 1 Stamina cost. The objects are permanent, unless Ren pays the same amount of Stamina she used to create the object to turn it back into simple energy. The metal objects have no special properties, except for whatever their form is, such as a metal bell being able to make a sound, or a dagger be able to have a sharp edge to cut. If ever Ren is disloyal or treacherous to Izumi, she will lose this ability, until she redeems herself. Finally objects of complicated capacity cannot be produced by this ability, such objects are things like guns and other mechanically complicated designs.

Level: Any

Technique 4. Fullbring: Fourth Tail - Rikibi (Tail of Power)

Description: A tail obtained only when a Kitsune does something of truly powerful greatness by their own natural talent. This tail provides Ren with a naturally occurring ability. For every round that Ren is performing a Kitsune-Ken Dance, she builds up energy in her body and reiatsu that takes the form of denser swirling areas directly around Ren, that start to look like floating balls of golden energy, or Kitsune-bi balls which she calls Arashibi (Storm Fire). When three of these floating balls are accrued, Ren can perform any ability that would normally cost at least 1 Stamina completely free. During storms, this ability only requires two floating balls to be accrued before being able to perform a free stamina consuming ability, having something to do with storms charging the energy within her further. The dance being performed does not matter, just so long as a dance is performed.

Disadvantages: Any time Ren ends a Kitsune-ken dance, she loses all her current Arashibi that she has at the current time, this includes if she switches from one dance to another. Additionally, she is limited by the free stamina consuming ability she can use, based on her rank in Kitsune-ken. Any ability that consumes stamina, including a standard action can be utilized, so long as it is within the stamina limit for the rank.
